Kiwanis Club of Damansara (KCD), was formed on 1 August 1990 by our founder and club Charter President Mr Y T Soo. Prior to forming KCD he was a member of Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur. The club is 31 years old today and has both new and long serving members.

Each member is an existing or ex-professional in their own right who joined the club to serve the community, improve the livelihood and education of underprivileged children and to help show youths the way [in their development to become upright and responsible citizens] through Kiwanis Youth Leadership projects. KCD is managed professionally by its experienced board of directors and is operated using best practices.

Over the years, the club has organized many charitable and community service events. Funds raised from fundraising projects are used to give aid to less fortunate families and their children. Fundraising events include Child Aid, KL International Buskers Festival, KL International Motorshow, MBO annual movie outing, Kiwanis Children’s Day, Charity Shows, High Teas, Dinner and many more. 

KCD organizes monthly meetings to discuss the club’s existing and potential projects and hold General Annual Meetings annually to report on the club’s financial position and achievements prior to submission of reports to the Registrar of Society Malaysia.
